As speculated by the news site engadged a few weeks ago the Xbox 360 is finally getting support for USB external mass storage. The new update to support this feature is expected to be released at April 6. It is still unknown what kind of data can you store on the USB unit or if the data will be protected by some type of DRM system. The size limit on the drives itself might be a bit disappointing to some as you can use any USB as long as it is between 1GB and 16GB and you format it on the Xbox menu. From that size you need to cut-out 512Mb of storage for a system partition besides the user data. This does not seem like much when compared to the PS3 which internally supports up to 750GB on Fat models and up to 2TB on the Slim and supposedly any size for external HD divided on 2TB partitions and the Wii which supports legally (hacks excluded) up to 32GB via SD card. Don’t get me wrong 16GB is a lot for the average gamer but for people who have their external drives filled with music and videos it may not seem like much. The folks at gamespot managed to get this screenshot at the GameStop website which shows a SanDisk/Microsoft-branded 8GB USB flash drive at a whooping $40 which is double the price for a drive that size.

Some people will probably buy this overpriced device because they don’t know any better just like some folks did with the white SD cards for the Wii which are essentially the same as a regular one. Just remember to tell your technologically disabled friends that any USB drive between 1GB and 16GB works so they save a bit.

Are you tired of playing unrealistic games? What about if your games where real? I mean they are real, you paid for them and you have them on your living room (except for DLC games duh!). The guys at smosh wondered how games would be if they where real and the result is this funny video!

The Girl at the Game Store!  is a music video about a girl that works for a video game retailer and the sort of weird crush sometimes customers develop.(not that I ever had) The sort of crush that makes you buy that extra accessory you don’t really need and pre-order that game that you don’t really care about. The video was made to celebrate the 1,000th episode of G4’s Attack of the Show. Hope you like it!

(PS: it has Olivia Munn on it!)videomusic

Hello! I just wanted to give a quick update to tell you that I’m still working on the blog. I’m recruiting people for it, working on a cooler logo and a few banners. It will take me some time to get this together because I really haven’t much time and I’m still recruiting and making decisions. For now here is a list of things to do:

  • Organizing and creating pages for big categories like XBOX, PS3, WII, Handhelds (this one is all about NDS PSP and maybe IPOD)
  • Learn More CSS from a few tutorials I’ve got
  • Teach some of the staff about posting stuff (don’t worry they learn fast)
  • Lay some ground rules for the staff and the readers
  • Start playing more games so you can get different reviews especially older under-hyped games that fly below the radar for example “Last Remnant” was released the same day as God of War and probably many people didn’t notice
  • I need to make a tutorial about contributing and using the blog in general because you the reader can help make this blog awesome! (because “A winner is you!”)
  • And many many other stuff….

I still haven’t decided on what to do about language but for now I think we should focus on English because then we ca reach a broader audience, but we like Spanglish here on Puerto Rico so maybe some post will be on Spanish (like local news) and some will be both. for now this post is currently in English because I have no time to do a proper translation I will later fix that.

working lots of open windows!

If there is anything that you think is important or have a feature you want added please leave a comment so we know

See you later!…and keep playing!

Those who shop frecuently at Plaza del Sol might already know that GamesStop has been relocated to the second floor near Cold Stone Creamery. Everybody knows that any store you put there goes bankrupt but don’t worry I asked the game advisor and he said they where just remodeling he old store/

Hello I am HolySpartan the creator of this blog. This few weeks I will be recruiting some of my friends and organizing them to try to create an awesome blog. I’m still undecided on the main language for this blog because my target audience is the gaming comunity from Puerto Rico BUT I prefer English sometimes because I hate dealing with some technology terms in Spanish so I think I will decide later on. Maybe I should make a poll just to learn because we are all new to bloging. Please excuse any ortographic horrors you find on this blog there are bound to be many… see you later
